The novel will follow two characters, Emery and Micki, and their exploits after the events in the first novel, "Eden".

Micki, an orphaned, newborn vampire, is accompanied by Emery, a vampire created in the late 1970s, as they search for a way to keep her safe. Their search takes them to a club called Paradise Noir, a place where outcast humans flock to feel safe amongst others like themselves. The club also attracts other creatures believed to exist only in myth. Micki and Emery arrive at the club to find something else stirring within the shadows, placing themselves and the unknowing humans in danger.
