Since the early 11th century, the two families of Kenrick and Mallin have fought against vampires and werewolves. But in the turn of the 19th century, their presence in the war deminished. They mainly reside in the Europe. The story tells of a necromancer who saw their skills during a fight, and then granted them the strength and extra skill to, more of less, even the playing field. The families keep a rather low profile and secure their linage through careful marriages.
